From Petals to Passion: How 2-Inch Paper Flowers Tell a Bigger Story

Small but Mighty: The Secret Behind 2-Inch Paper Flowers

When people see a 2-inch paper flower, they often assume it’s quick and simple to make—just a tiny bloom, easy to cut and glue. But the truth is, those little petals hide a secret. Behind every “small” flower are up to nine layers of precision work, each one carefully cut, shaped, and assembled by hand.

An order of these miniature flowers can keep me crafting for eight hours straight, reminding me of something I’ve learned over the years: small doesn’t mean simple—small means mighty.

The Story Behind Ana Cervantes Creations

That same idea carries through everything I create at Ana Cervantes Creations. My business is a one-woman show, built from my love for flowers and handmade art. I design most of my own flower templates, each one born from trial, error, and a lot of heart. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with LizzyFab Creations to turn some of my designs into wooden dies that crafters across the US can now use in their own projects.

Since officially starting, I’ve handcrafted and shipped over 5,000 custom shadowboxes across the United States—including Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Each shadowbox is made to preserve memories and honor life’s most special milestones. I’ve also proudly designed more than 400 personalized graduation cap toppers, helping graduates celebrate their achievements in unique and meaningful ways.

Beyond that, I’ve crafted over 1,000 centerpieces for baptisms, quinceañeras, weddings, first communions, and presentations—each one a reflection of love, tradition, and celebration.

My journey with paper crafting started when I was just a teenager, but the real turning point came in 2016, when I bought my very first Cricut machine. What began as curiosity quickly turned into passion, and from that moment on, my world became filled with cardstock, glue, and—most importantly—flowers.

Why Flowers?

Flowers are more than just decoration to me. They are symbols of love, memory, and celebration. A giant rose centerpiece can transform a room, while a 2-inch flower can make the tiniest detail unforgettable. No matter the size, every bloom carries time, patience, and heart.

So the next time you see one of my “tiny” creations, know this: it’s not just paper. It’s hours of care, years of passion, and a piece of me poured into something small but mighty.

And that’s the real secret behind Ana Cervantes Creations.
